The goal for this project was to represent the city of Bergen in a way
that focuses on a simple and clear symbolic interpretation of the essence
of the city. A series of patterns and textures were created based on
visual information from Bergen and its surrounding area.
HEART OF THE NORTH
Rock giants keep watch and provide shelter.
This is their land, we are only visitors.
The forests are our lungs, creating clean, crisp air.
The fjords are our veins, twisting through anceint land,
they give cool glacier waters, this is our blood.
But we are our heart.
Keeping strength in the isolated mountains.
Keeping warmth in the cold winters.
We provide hope, we provide community.
We are the heart of the North.
We are Bergen.
